Friendly service. My oil change took about an hour. Comfortable waiting room. Negative: When I got home I opened the hood and found the little basket filter to my windshield washer fluid reservoir sitting on the radiator. The fluid level was left low so I don't know why the filter was removed without adding fluid. A minor mistake.

Every thing was done well. Noise I mentioned is still there.

Julio, The manager at Honest 1 Auto Care, is very helpful and very honest. His master mechanic was able to diagnose my vehicle to ensure I knew exactly what work needed to be done on our 2005 Ford Explorer XLT. Julio called me 1st to ask whether I wanted the work done before any work was started I was hoping we only needed an oil change and tune up, but suspected more due to the loud rattling noises our Explorer's engine was constantly making. Julio explained the oli change and tune up would be a waste of $$$ since the noices made were needed lower engine repairs, further explaining that the master mechanic said rebuliding thie engine would cost more than simply replacing this engine with a lower mileage engine. He quoted me the cost of replacing an engine and didn't charge me any diagnostic fees. Julio let me have our Explorer back so we can decide what we want to do. We are getting a second opinion, however, we will be back as I suspect Julio's master mechanic may be correct. We normally go to the dealer for our work, however, the local Ford dealership wanted $125 just to diagnose. We will update you later...

I had a good experience with Honest1 Auto Care. I had a bad experience with San Carlos Auto Service and would never take any car back there again! I took my car to Toyota for a long time, but my car is a 2005 and that started making no sense! I needed to find a GOOD & honest garage. I took my Toyota Solara in for an oil change and they thoroughly went over the vehicle and explained in detail what services my car needs. I liked the owner and manager and they seem eager to please and do a good job. They found a leak in the automatic transmission system and I will take it in right away to be repaired. I've been burned so many times with poor workmanship - I think Honest1 is just that! I recommend them, and I am taking my Mom's car to them!
