It took them 4 hours to do an oil change, with an appointment They said 1 1/2-2 hours and when I called back at 3 hours they had not even started on my car. The coupon was great and the staff was friendly but the service sucked.

Never had a problem!! Very outstanding place !!

Honest 1 is the best place I have found for my car repair. I am pleased with all work they have done on my car.

Out of all the auto shops I've used, Honest-1 Auto Repair is the most professional and the only place I will allow to repair my 2016 Camry, 2003 Camry and 1983 Volvo. Not only do they promote excellent and personal service, they are honest. Thanks John and Julio

I took a chance on this shop and took my 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP to have the water pump replaced after it started leaking. I spoke with Julio on the phone who said they had the timing sprocket tool that GM advises as being crucial to do this repair and that they could have it done within a day or a day in a half. They quoted me a decent price - only about 40$ cheaper than my local Chevy dealership, but I wanted to give a 'smaller' shop a chance, and they were able to get the car in sooner than the dealership. When I got my car back, there was a very noticeable sound that wasn't there prior to the repair. The best way to describe the sound for lack of better words, is that of the Jetson's Space Car. I called the shop and left them a voicemail describing this issue and asked that they call me back to advise what to do. Julio called me back and asked me to describe the sound and when it occurs, and then said to bring the car back. I was told that their 'master tech' had looked up the symptoms online and found the same information that I had advised could have been the issue, with the timing chain being tensioned incorrectly due to either not using the sprocket tool or misusing it. I later asked if there was an after hours drop box, as my work schedule mirrors their hours of operation. So, I woke up early the next morning to drop the car off before work. Later that day, before their closing, I called to request an update on the vehicle and was told they weren't able to get to the car that day and they would call me the next morning around 10AM with an update. Unfortunately, they did not call that next morning, and around noon my husband called for me to request an update on the status of the vehicle. The person he spoke with said they hadn't found the issue yet, but that they had contacted GM directly to ask for any advice on this repair as they had not had this issue with two other cars they did the repair on before. They never called to inform that the car was ready, so my husband went to the shop after work to see the status and hopefully pick up the car. He was told it wasn't making the sound any longer. As a precaution, he opted to take one of their tech's with him on a test drive to ensure that the sound was no longer there. The noise was indeed, still there. After my husband informed them that the sound was still present, he was told that they would not be able to take a look at the car again until Friday (this second pick up was on Monday), due to them being too busy before hand, and he was also told 'this car is hard to work on'. Mind you, on their website, under Pontiac, they have the Solstice listed as a car their 'experienced mechanics' are able to service. My husband took the car home, so it wouldn't be sitting on their lot or shop for the next 3 days before being able to be touched. During this time, I decided to take the car to a local Chevy (GM) dealership and have them look over the car to diagnose and document the cause of the sound, so that I could bring this information back to the shop to allow them the chance to finally fix their work. This morning, I get a call from the Chevy dealership to give me the results of their diagnostic and the whole time, this sound was caused by a bubble in the coolant system!!! (I paid Honest-1 $99.95 for a coolant flush to go with the water pump replacement) I am a pretty mechanically inclined person, as automotive sports and modifications are a long time hobby of mine (I did not want to replace the water pump myself because I was short on available time to do so and wanted it done with a warranty) and I have done coolant flushes on all of the cars I have owned myself, and have NEVER left a bubble in the coolant system. Aside from that, I believe that is a simple error that should have been checked when I dropped it off to be looked at after the pump replacement. I cannot imagine a viable excuse for my car being able to leave their shop either time with such an issue being missed. **It has been 5 days since I reached out and had to leave a voicemail to express my concern and ask for a call back to come to an agreeable resolution to this whole situation, and I have yet to be contacted.**

As a new customer I was able to get immediate service. In performing service on my car they noticed a problem that needed to be addressed and they offered to take care of it on that visit. Was also advised of other problem and was told when I would need to have that taken care of. Both problems were known to me prior to my visit. Julio was friendly and easy to deal with

FAST & FRIENDLY. JULIO KNEW WHAT HE WAS TALKING ABOUT & GAVE ACCURATE INFORMATION. MY CAR WAS READY WITHIN TWO DAYS

This was my third visit to Honest 1 in San Carlos; I used their service in the past, some time ago. My previous visits were excellent experiences and I was not disappointed this time around. The rep who took my service order had a technician meet with me to discuss my repair concerns. Professional treatment all around! I was taken care of courteously and in a fair manner, and I certainly appreciate both whenever I am considering maintenance for my vehicle. I will avail myself of their service again.
